Cold Outreach Automation
Co-founder & Product Lead, Agenture
Built end-to-end cold outreach engines for client acquisition — scrape target lists, enrich and verify contacts, personalise at scale, send, and track replies — all on one pipeline.
- Replaced manual prospecting with a repeatable system: dedupe keys, send caps, reply detection, and status tracking so nobody got double-messaged and no lead went cold silently.
- Personalisation driven by real signals from each prospect's site and socials, not mail-merge tokens — drafted by an LLM under tight constraints and gated before send where it mattered.
Overview
Outreach is where most small businesses and agencies stall: the work of finding, enriching, and contacting prospects is relentless and gets skipped the moment things get busy. Through Agenture I built outreach engines that ran the whole top-of-funnel automatically while keeping the personalisation and judgement that make outreach actually work.
The problem
Manual prospecting doesn't scale and doesn't get done. Lists are built in spreadsheets, contacts are half-enriched, messages are copy-pasted, and follow-ups are forgotten. The two failure modes are constant: either outreach stops entirely when the operator is busy, or it goes out so generically that it gets ignored. There's no system tracking who's been contacted, who replied, and what happens next.
What I built
- Target discovery + enrichment — scraped and built target lists from web and social sources, then enriched and verified contact details before anyone was contacted.
- Signal-based personalisation — an LLM drafted opening lines from real signals on each prospect's site and socials, with strict "use only provided facts" constraints to keep it accurate.
- Sending with guardrails — send caps, working-hours scheduling, dedupe keys, and idempotency so the same prospect was never messaged twice.
- Reply detection + tracking — inbound replies were detected and classified, and every prospect's state (queued → sent → replied → handed off) was tracked so nothing fell through.
Impact
- Turned outreach from a stop-start manual chore into a steady, repeatable channel that ran without daily attention.
- Scaled volume by orders of magnitude over manual prospecting without sacrificing personalisation.
- Made the funnel measurable — contact, reply, and hand-off rates were visible rather than guessed at.
